Jointed Veneers
We offer a service for jointing veneers. We can supply layons in most species and in fixed sizes to suit doors, panels and furniture components. This saves time and gives an exact cost with no waste factor to estimate.
In addition to the zig-zag glue stitch, we can offer the threadless edge-glued joint. You can choose book matched, slip matched or random matched jointing. We can also offer layons with inlays.
What is Veneer Jointing?
Veneer jointing is a woodworking technique that involves joining thin slices of wood, called veneers, to create a larger, continuous surface. This process is commonly used to cover less expensive or lower quality materials, such as particleboard or MDF, with more attractive and higher quality wood species. The purpose of veneer jointing is to achieve a visually appealing and seamless appearance while also conserving valuable resources.
Veneer jointing is a popular technique in furniture making, cabinetry, and other woodworking projects, as it allows for the creation of beautiful, high-quality surfaces without using solid wood throughout the entire piece.
