Dampen sounds, remove reverb and create a fantastic sound environment.
Having trouble hearing what your guests are saying? Problems with poor acoustics is a major problem in many homes, but with a list wall you can create acoustic wellbeing for yourself, your family, and your guests.
Sound consists of waves. And when sound waves hit a hard surface the sound is not decelerated but reflected throughout the room resulting in reverberation / reverb. The acoustic panel dampens the sound by absorbing the sound waves when they hit the felt, so the sound perish into the felt instead of around the room.
Sound test – technical specifications:
On the graph it can be observed that the panel obtains absorption coefficient of 0.97 at a frequency of 1,000 Hz. Loud speech and regular noise in the home will be in the frequency between 500 – 2,000 Hz, and as it can be observed on the graph is is right here the Acoustic Panel is most efficient.
The sound test you see here is based on the acoustic panels mounted on a 45 mm stripwood with air behind the panels. You can achieve an even better absorption ability, if you place 45 mm insulation (e.g. Rockwoll) behind the panels.
You do not need a professional to mount the wall.
It is easy to mount a list wall. It is done by screwing stripwood onto the wall, and then screwing the panels on that subsequently. We recommend to use stripwood 45 mm thick, because we applied this setup when performing our sound test. However, you can also use thinner stripwood / laths or mount them directly onto the wall. It is up to you. You can find our mounting guide under ‘How to’ in the menu.
